Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Witness surname on 1835 marriage cert

Thank you. Very possible; haven't found Park(e) mother/siblings yet or Susan's death c 1841-2.

Do you and I share any Jardines? David Jardine+ Ann Hope b.1803 of Rigg, Graitney? They lived in Knaresborough.

Thanks for all suggestions.

No luck yet with John Liven snr and his wife E. Fiske/Pike/Fisher  or sister-in-law Parke.

There were 2 Mary Ann Elizabeths: one died very young , the other lived to a reasonable age, the child of Maria Goodswin, wife 2.

Must look up the Parkes for siblings

I only have Elizabeth  recorded as Liven in 1841 Gt Yarmouth census. Pike is worth a try though!
Thank you.

Many thanks for this; wills can be so informative.
Will pass it on.

Meanwhile, back to the trail of my gt-gt-aunt who may have been washed up on Yarmouth beach...hope to find a more pleasant alternative.

E. ☺

Thank you so much for all of this. I've tried to send it on and await a response. I'm sure the person will be very appreciative.

Asking for someone linked to me by DNA & shared matches, probably via 18th C Donisthorpe/Thompson/Pritchard line, about :

________Goodall, d. in Victoria, husband of Ethel Hilda Victoria Humble 1881-1919.
Their son John Terrell Goodall 1917-92 married Margaret Ellen Sherwin b 1916.
Her parents were John Horton Sherwin 1888-1960 and Margaret Amelie Hagens 1890-76

Sibling of __ Goodall may have gone to US.

Grateful for any hints that I can pass on.

Brilliant!!

I saw Honing as a place of death but didn't know how it related. I also saw the late marriage but glossed over it....it's the Gosling link that clinches it. I hope she was happy for her last years.

It's taken me so long then you solved it almost instantly! Thank you all very much.
