Mike 175 - you have the right family. Thanks for the information. I don't think that Edward and Robert Bland are any connection tho. I have not heard of them before.

Hi It certainly looks like this could be the right family. I will look into it further. I wonder if they also had Edith Eliza Bland, as she was born in 1861, it would be the right time. Thanks ever so much for the information:)

Hi  Thanks for this. I think I mis typed - I meant the 1861 census. I found the 1857 marriage in Hackney too, but again, no trace of any Mr Bland. In the 1881 census, Edith Eliza is shown as living with her sister Constance, but I can't find any details of her anywhere. No birth details or anything. It is really odd. Been doing research on other branches of my family for years, but I've never had this much trouble before!!!

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Bland/Partridge Families - Hackney

I have a Mary Ann Partridge born in Hackney in 1835, who appears in the 1851 census as Mary Ann Bland (parents Partridge), however, I can find no marriage details for her. Later in another part of my family search, I have Edith Eliza Bland, born in 1861, who only appears in the 1881 census, when she is shown as head of the family, living with her sister. I have a hunch that Mary Ann Partridge is Edith's mother, but I seem to be going round in circles , and can't find any real evidence. Anyone any suggestions as to where I might find out more (apart from ordering Edith's birth cert, which I may have to do).
