Quite a lot of information on there, so good to link back to prevent duplicate research.

Did you ever order the 1881 marriage certificate?

I am think Charles dad was Charles born in Dublin but his son Charles is born in Wigan if I have my census correct.

On the previous thread we came to the conclusion that Charles' dad was James?

There is a marriage between an Anthony Allen, coal miner, and Jane Lill[..] (transcription has Lilley) on 27th January 1803 in Barnsley. Could be a possible to keep in mind.

There is a marriage on 20th March 1810 between Fergus Marrinear [sic] and Jane Norman in Kirklinton, Cumberland.

I can't find an obvious marriage between William and Catherine to confirm her father's name.

It looks like their first may have been Jane Mary Eley, born in 1843 in Cumberland, but died as an infant:
ELEY, JANE  MARY     MARRINER

Then they moved to London:

ELEY, WILLIAM       MARRINER

I have a Catherine nee Marriner (born about 1815), from Longtown, Arthuret, Cumberland

This seems a likely baptism:

Catherine, daughter of Fergus and Jane Marriner, baptised 25th January 1815 in Arthuret, Cumberland.
