Many thanks Colin. This shows he died within a year of his daughter being born.
Looking at the image of the parish record (FamilySearch.org) it is clear to me that the bride's name is Ann Clucas.
Clucas is a relatively common Manx surname.
Many thanks. I got the name from a translated site which didn't have the original image. Appreciate you clarifying that. Now to search for more...
Images from Manx Parish Registers have (mostly!) been captured by the LDS Church, and therefore available on FamilySearch.org.
