Heraldry Crests and Coats of Arms / Help identifying arms from an O'Molloy seal

I have been researching the early O’Molloy chieftains of Offaly and recently discovered that among the Fiants of Queen Elizabeth preserved in Irish records office were a number of surrenders by chiefs of Irish and Norman descent with seals attached. By 1913 only a handful of the seals remained. One belonged to Conill O’Molloy who was chieftain of Firceall in Offaly in the Irish midlands who surrendered his lands in 1587. In 1913, E.C.R. Armstrong described it as a:
‘seal of quartered arms, the first and fourth being apparently a chevron, and in chief either a star or a flower, second a chevron between three stars, and fourth a stag, and apparently some other figures’.
I know very little about heraldry and hope that someone could throw a little light on what was obviously a difficult seal to decipher. Unfortunately, there is no image of it and I strongly suspect it was destroyed in 1922. It is not the standard O’Molloy arms of ‘Ar. a lion ramp. sa betw. three trefoils slipped gu’ as recorded in Burke’s General Armory (1884). Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
