Billing Road Cemetery, Northampton

Rose Hannah Green, 24, Regent Street, Northampton aged 62, died February 3rd 1914, buried February 7th 1914 in grave A2 1919

Sandy

Sandy does it indicate Rose Hannah is buried alone or with her husband? Would you know where I could get a map of the cemetery in order to find the graves of my great great grandparents?

Definitely not school girls, ages look to be in 20 to 60,s group. There appear to be a few Nursing /Nanny type dress,s. Maybe some sort of training course .

I wondered if it was perhaps in preparation for WWII? Does it seem too far to travel from Northampton? If only pictures could talk.

It could be a summer training session held on the school premises. I was going on the architecture of the building

I would suggest Folkestone Grammar school for Girls. Looking at their older buildings it could be a match. My other suggestion would be West mount school which is no longer in operation.

1938 she would have been 21 years old, too old for school I think.

Do you have her in the 1939 Register, and if so, what is her occupation shown as?

It looks like a Training Course of some kind - teaching?

1939 register she is listed with her parents and sister living in Northampton Occupation leather worker

It may be a longshot but I am gonna post it anyway. This photo was in my grandmother's photo album and we can't figure out what it is a photo of. The photo was taken in 1938 and she labelled it Folkstone 1938. My grandmother is in the photo and in 1938 she would have been 21 years of age older than school age. My grandmother was born and lived in Northampton. Any suggestions?
