Anyone doing family from Frampton on Severn there is a brilliant book written by a Rose Spence - Frampton on Severn, Portrait of a Victorian Village.

Its from drawings by the local gentry and takes a look at the village in the 1860s.

Hi

Sorry for delay - been away on holiday.

Yes - Paisey is in my tree. Its my fathers side.  William Paisey's sister elizabeth Ada married Frederick Britt Ford and had my Grandma Ellen Doris.

I am on another family history site normally. Don't know if I am allowed to mention it here but its reunited me with some other family members.

Thank goodness the software I use to enter my rellies on the computer has a calculator or I would be lost.

Makes for interesting reading too if you stick in the odd person here and there.  Sometimes the wording used to describe you makes you sound positively ancient. :D

The Lighter Side / Re: Trouble over Family History !!!

My Dad is very interested but the rest of the family will listen but not as keen as Dad (as long as I keep it short).

One relative is very annoyed about it all - she has accused me of having some certificates of her parents and demanded them back, even though I've told her I got them from the GRO she still insists they are hers. Don't think she has grasped that I can get them anyway.

Its a pity she feels like this because at the moment she would be my best source of information.

I was afraid that was going to happen  - I too like them nice and flat.  Sometimes they can be difficult to read (flowery writing) anyway.

Guess we could try ironing them on the wrong side!!!

It might help
