Hi Wornpick,

Yes, I am aware of it  and it is a extremely sad story - but,  there seems to be no evidence that this is the same couple as our Richard and Jane Bolitho.

I believe that when we know more about their children and locate both Richard and Jane's headstones this will all be clarified.

Regards Luc.

Hi Wornpick,

Thank you for sharing your findings, they confirm what I had found.
I am still searching for the wills of both Richard and Jane, which I hope will confirm  the amount of children they had in total.
Many thanks once again for all hor kindness in sharing this information with me.

Regards Luc.

Devon Lookup Requests / TONKIN burials in Stoke Damerel
« on: Saturday 21 January 12 12:26 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all,
I am trying to find the burial & headstone details of Tonkin ancestors who died at Stoke Damerel.
All I have is -

John Tonkin died at Stoke Damerel on 17th Mar 1876 (born 17 nov 1795),
his wife Sukey/Susan died at Stoke Damerel in 1881
his Son William who is believed to have died in 1903 aged in his 70's along with his wife Mary.
I know that William Tonkin owned drapers and lived above the shop at 60-62 Fore Street in Stoke Damerel  he is in both the 18881 and 1891 census at this address.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - Luc.

London and Middlesex / Re: HARVEY family married at Southwark, London

Hi Jennifer,
This great and it seems to fit perfectly - many many  thanks.
So now if i can find out if moses and his first wife Isabella  had more children than just William and Isabella before he remarried in 1860.
Thanks to Jorose's kind suggestion I believe his first wife was Isabella Butcher and that he married her in 1849.
When Moses went to America in 1869 it seems he also took a son Ashton Harvey aged 17.
and in the Ameican 1880 Census William Henry has his 22 yr old sister living with him.
So it look s as if Moses and Isabella  certainly had more children.
Thanks again Jennifer and Jorose your help has been a huge help and is very much appreciated - kind regards - Luc.

Hi Jorose.

This is amazing  -thank you so much I shall follow all this up!

Just a few questions relating the 1861 census that you mentioned - did it give Moses's age and place of birth and were there any other children and finally what address were they living at in 1861.

I have looked for William (Moses 's son) Birth certificate.  but have had no luck yet.

I shall now try and find Moses's first marriage

Thank you again for your help - it is so much appreciated - regards - Luc.
