Gloucestershire / Henry Williams
« on: Sunday 14 April 24 13:00 BST (UK)  »
Henry was born in 1831 Olveston Gloucestershire, parents George and Amelia Williams, maiden name Croome, In 1856 Henry married Eliza Dimmer. Henry's occupation was farmer.
They had 3 children:
James Henry 1856-1939
Emma 1858-1947
Alfred 1863-1863
On the 1861 and 1871 census they are farming in Olveston, in 1881 they are visiting their daughter Emma who is now married to George Lusty. In 1901 Eliza is living with her daughter in Uley and is now a widow.
I cannot find them in 1891 nor can I find a death for Henry.
Any help would be appreciated

Can someone kindly explain this marriage record please?

"Margarett Davis F marriage date 25 Dec 1728 Place Fleet Prison and rules of the Fleet, London
Isaac Cole FHL film no 0813816 RG7 V. 91-94"

I have been looking for a marriage regarding my Great Grandfatherx6 Isaac Coole who married Margaret Davis about that time, Isaac came from the Bristol area so what was he doing in London so have doubts , but I have never come across this sort of marriage before so interested.

Yes I can believe it. A few years back I renewed my membership at full price, a short while later ancestry contacted me to say they had a offer on and would refund me the difference which they did.

Yes they are, Ladyhawk, Their father worked as a servant at Buckingham Place, mother Elizabeth died about 1840, I have never found a record of her death,  they had another daughter Ann who went to live with Elizabeth's parents Sophia and William lived with William's parents as you can see from the census.  The father William remarried in 1845.

Very interesting, Queenie, yes family history is never ending. My Grandmother was a Blore, my Grandfather's family was Coole, going back several generations to 1759 I have got stuck. A great Aunt who is now dead told me the Coole family came over from Ireland when or if ? my cousin her daughter told me not to take any notice as she gets confused but I know my father went over to Ireland looking at family graves about 1937. On ancestry there are trees going back further have contacted 2 of them one admitted she copied from another tree the other could not remember, also another 2 cousins have gone back copied again???

Oh to be back with ancestry, find my way round ancestry although FindMyPast useful and my membership finishes with them on the 12th. Anyway I have found a marriage to a George Harrison in 1835 anyway something to work on wandering if Frances even exists maybe Sarah's middle name was Frances?
