Berkshire / Re: James Heath and wife Mary
« on: Saturday 27 November 21 01:21 GMT (UK)  »
Some of the children of the James and Mary HEATH baptised at Faringdon had DREWETT as a second name.

1827 Jun 7 Thomas Drewett s/o James & Mary, brewer
1829 Apr 10 John Rance Drewett s/o ditto died 1845
1830 Jun 25 Sarah Ann d/o ditto
1832 Jul 9 Mary d/o James & Mary, Gent
1834 Nov 17 Eliza Elizabeth d/o James & Mary, brewer
1836 Jan 2 James s/o ditto
1837 Oct 6 Lucy d/o ditto
1839 Jan 19 Francis s/o ditto born 19 Oct 1838 buried Faringdon 29 Jul 1839
1840 Dec 6 Benjamin Drewett s/o ditto
1842 Jan 7 Ellen Drewett d/o ditto

According to a couple of trees on Ancestry the mothers maiden name was DREWETT.

There is a marriage at Chieveley, Berkshire on 24 Apr 1826 of a James HEATH and a Mary DREWETT, which would appear to be the above couple.

The marriage at Fleet St in 1808 only appears to be the Banns, and there is no indication of a marriage having taken place. No M in the margin like on some. Nothing in the actual marriage registers either.

Margaret Flora McKenzie ORR died in Auckland as well, at least she was living there when she made her will. She too is interred at Waikumete.

Was at same address as a James ORR and the GRAYs according to electoral rolls.

According to NZBDM Charlotte Elliott and Marion Johanna ORR's parents were James and Flora. There is a marriage for a James ORR and Flora McKENZIE in 1869. There are a few other children on the NZBDM to a James and Flora in this time frame as well. There is a death for Flora in 1924 as well as what appears to be one of the daughters Margaret Flora McKenzie ORR in 1977, born 1877.

Flora is buried in Southern Cemetery with McKENZIEs, on Dunedin cemetery website. She was buried from same address as James in his death notice.

Thanks everyone that looks like his arrival in Australia, unfortunately no reference to his younger sister so she must have come to NZ direct from UK.

WWC was born in Nilghiri Hills in India in 1857 so his age must have been rounded up in passenger list.
