I know its many years since you posted this but John Seeby was in the Army (Bedfordshire Regt) from 1884 to 1902.  I am fairly sure in 1901 he would have been in South Africa...2nd Boer War.

As a matter on Interest in 1914 at the age of 51 he re-enlisted and did demobe until 1919 or 1920.

Just in passing I see from parish registers that a Francis de Paravicini was curate of St Nicholas Hail Weston Huntingdonshire in 1847-9

David,

Many thanks for all the information. It has given me several facts that I was not aware of and enough leads to do plenty of digging.

I was particularly interested in the Stilton wedding of Thomas and Ann Bland. The Bland connection has always puzzled the family since right up to c1900 nearly all the Storey children had Bland as a middle name.

Hope the barman was welcoming!

Thanks again

Bill

Thomas was my Gt Gt Granfather and Charles my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather. I have quite a lot of information coming forward from Thomas but have no information on any siblings he might have had. As regards Charles all I know is approx date of birth but don't know if place was Hemingford Abbots. Also I would like to trace back further from him if possible. Any info you might have would be very gratefully received

If anyone is researching the Storey family from Hemingford Abbots I would be happy to share information.  Particularly interested in Thomas Bland Storey (1795), his father Charles Storey (1754) and any earlier members of the Storey family

Oops sorry about the typo ...meant Pink

Coonwarra thanks for replying.  As you can gather from my surname my main interest is the Hall family particularly Long Sutton and South Warnborough based. My tree tends to go off on lots of branches though so I have lots of Windiates, Pinks etc in my tree.

Wll pm as soon as I reach the magic number!!!!!!

I know this is a long time after your initial post but hope you might see this message. Martha Hall was my second cousin 5 times removed. If we can share any information I would be very grateful
