Hi Carole and Red
Thanks for your replies.
My Grandfather married my Grandmother 8th Feb 1919. He stated on the marriage certificate that his father name was Christopher Ryan occupation Laborer.
My father was only 10 years old when his father died, leaving his wife with seven children in 1932.
Life was hard for my grandmother for many years. She did re marry later on.
My father never spoke about his dad it seamed it was taboo no one in the family even spoke about him.
I started out tracing the family and eventually discovered that my Grand father died of TB.
It was only when my Dad passed away that i also discovered that my Grandfather was living with a couple named Catherine and Christopher Robinson when he married my grandmother. I heard that my father and brothers/sisters called this lady Grand Ma Robo . I thought strange all these years i was looking for a Christopher Ryan and hear was a Christopher Robinson . Any way i sent for Catherine and Christophers Marriage Certificate and discovered that Catherine's maiden name was Ryan and her father was a William Ryan occupation Baker . This opened up a new avenue .
So as i mentioned recently my Grandfathers birth is a mystry
Thanks

Hi Carole and Red
Thank you for your help  I have the 1871 census info but it states that Patrick and Johanna came from Arles County Queens i have been going down this lead and not getting far . its good to have the information that you have found as coming from South Armagh. I have Patrick in 1851 Census and 1861 married to a Julia Ryan she must have died between 1861 and 1871 i cant find a marriage anywhere in England .they may have married in Ireland .
I am trying to find out when and where my grandfather William was born all i know is that his mother may have been Catherine (Kate 1881 census with grandmother) and he was born about 1898 he married my grandmother 1919
As i have the marriage Certificate
Thank you

Thank you so much for your help i truly appreciate any little bit of help or information.
William died 13 August 1895 his wife Annie was at his bed side.
Amelia was one of Williams Daughters and did marry James Kilburn William 1901 was her brother
I have discovered that when their father William died in 1895. Their mother couldn't cope so she put the following children into care Minnie and Mary also James . Minnie and Mary  where sent to London to a convent. James stayed in a boys home in Liverpool.
Minnie and Mary both emigrated about 1920 to New Zealand where they lived out their life.
Catherine who i mentioned was my Great Grandmother and brought up her son William alone .I have been told that she sent William to America to family where he stayed until war broke out 1914 he came back and joined the 8th Irish Liverpool Kings and eventually married my Grand mother.
As i say i truly appreciate any help
Thank You
