Walter J Smith born 1887 in Brighton under his mothers surname Thompson,he married Nellie Shaw in Brighton June 1910
I have found attestation paper for him that he signed 31st August 1915 for Canadian overseas expeditionary forces. He was living at that date..73 Ann St,Toronto
Only a guess that he went to Canada about 1911,did his wife go with him?cant find any children born in England.
I have photos of him taken in Toronto.
Any help would be great..Thanks

Hi Roy
No the Grace family in Hove are not related, been in touch with the Dr quirke many years ago, there is no connection.
I know all about the Grace family, its just Laura Louise
She was witness to her sisters marriage in 1916,she signed in the name of Louise Grace.I thought maybe she would turn up in the 1911 census,I have tried everything else.Wondered what happen to her from that year.
Thanks
Maralyn
