Let me just say... you are all amazing at this, and I am brand new to this! I have just got information from my mother... Sidneys grandaughter
NIGHTINGALE
Sydney (not sure if it's spelled Sydney or Sidney) Nightingale (my grandfather your great grandfather) was born in Epping England in 1893 he was the youngest. I know he had sisters Alice and Ethel and Eleanor (Their mother's name was Alice)
Alice had two girls Eve and Madge (Auntie Alice had a candy shop in Stratford)
Ethel had at least one daughter Leslie
Eleanor married Charlie and they had a daughter Hilda (Eleanor was killed in the London Blitz)
Sid married Mary Jane Stimpson
Mary Jane was born in Sutton-Ely in Cambridgeshire in 1887 (she had sisters for sure one named Jesse (she married someone named Archie and they had a son named Jackie
They came to Canada in 1912 but Sid went back to England in 1914 to serve in the 1st world war. He was missing a finger (trigger finger) so was placed in the Ambulance Service on Lady Astor's estate
They had two children Florence and Ethel
