Hi CSC
  Thank you for the information on Robert Kerr can you tell me where you found the information. Robert had a younger brother John who was in the kings own scottish borders and was killed in action in 1917 , his name is above the gate at mouswald kirk where both his parents are buried. I have recently found  Roberts older brother James Kerr who was in the police force he married Sarah Edgar from Moffat in 1909, i would like to find out if he was in the army.
          If you come across any other information about Robert Kerr was he married ! did he have a family ! please will you let me know.
  I would also like to thank you for information you found for me a few month's ago about Susan Kirk she was Francis Kerr's second wife.

Hi does anyone have any information about ROBERT KERR born 16/04/1895
at DALTON , my mother thinks he joined the police force and moved further north to Glasgow or Edinburgh. His parents are Francis Kerr and Harris Irving Bell Duff (nee Fraser ) other siblings in the family were James , Mary , Janet ,
John , Williamina , Elizabeth , and Isabella.

   In the 1881 census Thomas's(born about 1831) place of birth was Co Mayo Ireland, on his marriage certificate (Henley in Arden 1856) to Harriet Edgington his father was Brian O'Donnell.
  I would like to know if their is any way i can find out where in Co Mayo they
come from, is their any Irish web page's you can recommend.
Can any one out there help me.

John Kerr is my great uncle he is one of 7 children born to Francis and Harries
Kerr. Francis was one of 9 children born to John and Janet Kerr, their children
all born at St Mungo, Marion bn 1863 had a son George Kerr bn 1883, Robert
(m) Mary Anne Toulan emigrated to Australia, Francis (my g grandfather) (m)
Harries Duff (nee Fraser) 2nd wife Susan Kirk would like to find out more about
Susan's children. William bn 1869, David bn 1871, Isabella bn 1873 (m) John
Kerr from Annan their children Rachael bn 1893,Jane bn 1895, Bryce bn 1896,
William bn1897, Janet bn 1899 and Isabella bn 1900. John bn 1876 (m) Mary Alston, Thomas bn 1878 and James bn 1880. John Kerr (who was married to Janet Rodgerson) was born in Tinwald 1834, older brother William bn Closeburn 1830, brother's James 1837, Thomas 1841 and David Caruthers Kerr bn 1850 all born in Tinwald. Parent's Francis Kerr and Marion Chesnay.

   Francis Ker widower aged 60 married ( seconed wife ) Susan Kirk aged 33
on 27/05/1927. I know they had a family how can i find out when they were born, and if they are still alive and living in Dumfriesshire, or if any of their family
are still in the Dumfries area.  Francis was born 08/01/1867 St Mungo 1st wife Harries Duff married on 25/11/1885 Harries died 1915. Francis died 14/08/1937 aged 70 at Kirk houses Holywood, Robert Kerr son by 1st wife signed death certificate.  I belive
Francis had two children by his 2nd wife Susan.

It's belived that James Davidson and Agnes Carruthers come from Middlebie
as that's where all the children were born. James bn 24/10/1797, died newfield
14/04/1851 (m) Mary Blacklock from Tundergarth she died 19/11/1869, William
(m) Janet Douglass from Glasgow, William died in Dryfesdale in late 1882,
nothing found about Mary, John (my ggg grandfather) (m) Jane Davidson,Walter
married twice 1st Isabella Bell from Hutton, in 1851 had three children Agnes 8,
James 5,and Helen3. After Isabella's death he married Jane Bell from Dryfesdale,Richard died Dryfesdale 18/05/1877 wife Elizabeth Boyes died at
Lockerbie 27/04/1872, little known about Hugh, and little known about Janet.

Walter Davidson was from Middlebie his wife Janet Murray was from Canonbie
according to IGI, all the children were born in Hutton and Corrie, except the
second William and the last child Jane were born at Middlebie. No fact's found about William except, possibly in 1841 at Hopehouse, Applegarth with a wife and first son Walter. Margaret died 12/09/1858 on the certificate Margaret
Dalgli(e)sh labourers widow. Nothing can be found about Mary, Thomas was a
shepherd and married Janet Carlyle from St Mungo, thomas died 07/01/1873.
nothing can be found about James, and Jane married John Davidson from
Canonbie.  We belive Walter Davidson's parent's were William Davidson and
Mary Hyslop.

Walter Davidson bn abt 1774 (m) Janet Murry  CHILDREN  William bn 01/10/1794, Margaret bn 16/10/1796,William bn 21/10/1798, Mary bn 26/01/1801, Thomas bn 31/12/1802 (m) Janet Carlyle, James bn 21/09/1804,
Jane bn 21/06/1807 (m) John Davidson.  Looking for anyone with any of these
name's in their family tree.
