Hi Pete
My husband's great-grandmother was a Walton and his grandfather and three siblings all had Walton as their middle name - including the girl.  Haven't gone back as far as you, but willing to exchange any info.
Regards Polly

I have just had an e.mail from Oz saying that Irene was cremated, but thanks to everyone who has been helping me to find a burial place.  I feel I have been wasting your time - sorry.

Still no luck.  Not Redbridge, City of London or Manor Park.  Have sent e.mail to Australia asking for more clues.  Not giving up yet!

Had a call back from a lady at Redbridge this afternoon - no luck though.  She gave me another place to try and I'm hoping the lady there will get back to me in the morning.

Sorry if I'm appearing stupid (senior moment?) but how do I find out what graveyard someone is buried in?  My adopted sister is coming over from France in a couple of weeks and says that she wants to visit her birth mother's grave, which she understands to be in/near Ilford.  Could I contact churches in that area and would they still have records from 1951? Grateful for any help - thank you.

How sad newport1, but I hope that finding this on Rootschat will bring you together with some of your husband's family.

Agree with you Jebber.

My Aunt went back to her parents in Hampshire to have her first child, and then when he was 4 days old her Welsh husband took her back to Wales and registered his birth there.  Didn't make my cousin Welsh though!!!!!
