Mine would be too boring to submit.

On 'Find a Grave' I have discovered that William is buried at Manor Park Cemetery, Forest gate, Newham and I desperately need a photo of the stone as according to 'Find-a-grave' the inscription reads 'William Bocking Rogers'.

It is never clear from Find a Grave website what is fact (by that I mean: written on the actual headstone) and what is possible fiction e.g contributed information about the deceased birth place, birthdate, family members (excluding those specifically mentioned on the same headstone) etc

Think he may be the son of James Clayson and Annie M Whall.

If so he's later than Edwardian

Looks like he was born in 1896 in Elham district, can't find him on censuses, but he's on 1939 register

I’m not sure is this was what LizzieL was referring to, but if you scroll down on the site that she linked to you will find a photo of Tom Clayson outside the Post Office. Not signed by him however.

The first photo of the tailors shop, has Tom Clayson's name in the RH bottom corner.
I didn't realise there was a picture of the man himself further down!

There's a card by Tom Clayson on this website

I suspect he was an amateur photographer who took photos of the locality and had them printed as postcards. It looks as if he used an Autographic camera. These had a little flap which you opened after taking the picture and using a stylus wrote whatever you wanted - your name, subject name or whatever. The films were quite slow in those days, but you couldn't have the flap open for long unless you were in a dark room with a safe light, or light would get in and spoil the picture. I'm not an expert on photography, but my father inherited this type of camera from his aunt and he was once able to get a suitably slow film and showed me how it was used. Although the right size film was available until well into the 1980s, they were too fast to risk opening the flap.
The camera took a  116 film.

I can see a family of John and Mary FLOWER baptising children at Horsely around 1734. There is an Anne FLOWER baptised 19 July 1731 at St John the Baptist, Gloucester with parents John and Mary - of course, not necessarily the same couple.

William Flower (Hannah's first husband) was the son of a John and Mary, bapt Horsley 14 Jun 1724.

No sign of this Henry Flower anywhere.
