I’m wondering if u have the correct William Smith?
I’ve been down that road before with all those refs u have found and they ended up not the correct person! If there is a connection with  this Smith line u would of obtained Williams marriage cert? Where info give comes directly from William, he states he was born in Sweden not Australia, and states his Parents names....

Would be good to hear your thoughts on this.

FYI

Obit:
When her mother, Maria (Stein) Littlejohn, died in 1903, Maria Smith is recorded as her daughter. This is the death notice for Maria (Stein) Littlejohn: "LITTLEJOHN-.— On the- 25th December, at her residence, 82 Victoria-street, West Brunswick, Maria, relict of the late John Littlejohn, and beloved mother of James, John and George, David, Alfred and Henry Littlejohn, Maria Smith and Martha Ramadge, aged 79 years. A colonist of 67 years."

The Maria who married William Smith was born to Maria Stein (before Maria Stein’s seniors marriage to LittleJohn)

Australia / Birth & Death certificate
« on: Tuesday 23 November 21 13:11 GMT (UK)  »
I'm having trouble finding a birth/death certificate of Bonnie Ellingsen.
Her parents were Gertrude nee Pontin and Albert, George Ellingsen they married in 1912 Ballarat. On Gertrude's dc it states in 1967 her daughter Bonnie was deceased, they had two other children, Albert and Ida were noted to be deceased on their mothers dc in 1967, Oral family history says Bonnie died as a child?

Thanks

Yeah thanks.
I have a Lars Ellingsen where oral family history says he jumped ship, but he didn’t change his family name on arrival it was thought he just blended in with other gold rush seekers😬Re Andrew Jensen I was thinking his wife who was English prob didn’t really know his fathers names as she gave that info on his dc., it didn’t occur to me of a name change, which is so different to his fathers names...so can we be sure that this is him that was found as also mother’s name is a wee bit different in some docs😬
