Trying to trace John and Matilda Hampton and family. I know they were living in Golds Green, West Brom in 1848 when their son James  was born - were they still at the same address in 1851/61. Would appreciate any help - Thank you

Thanks for the reply Sylvia, The only Hampton's, that are relevant to me are......James Matthew who married Ellen Talbot in 1871, she died in 1873, leaving a son. James later married my GMother Phoebe Cook in 1888. I have details of these. John Hampton who married Matilda How in 1846 are the parents of James, and they lived in Golds Green, West Bromwich in 1848 when James was born, so really its the 1851/61 census - West Bromwich, which would be of more beneficial for me.  But I thank you for all your help............Glo

I believe my grandfather - James Matthew Hampton - was living in  Sheffied Road,  Derby. at this time, also maybe his parents John + Matilda.

no ...not that sort of alien...  sorry my sense of humour creeping in. I would  welcome any advice on how to  trace Spanish ancesters.

Manuel Silva was a Mariner who married and settle in our country in 1888. He was born in Galicia, N. Spain.
