Agnes did indeed die in 1907 and the informant was her brother Alexander. The address Alex was at was 25 Clonard street which confirmed it for me.
As for the census with both Josephs on, I'm quite sure that is them (Perhaps the person taking the details misheard and put the son down as Monaghan as well).
I will note of it anyway.
My nan tells me that in the late 40's Joe McKenna Snr came over to Chester and before she married my grandad so I know he was still alive in the late 40's. Still have not found a death for him but I remain hopeful.
