Thank you both for taking the time to search.

Agnes did indeed die in 1907 and the informant was her brother Alexander. The address Alex was at was 25 Clonard street which confirmed it for me.

As for the census with both Josephs on, I'm quite sure that is them (Perhaps the person taking the details misheard and put the son down as Monaghan as well).
I will note of it anyway.

My nan tells me that in the late 40's Joe McKenna Snr came over to Chester and before she married my grandad so I know he was still alive in the late 40's. Still have not found a death for him but I remain hopeful.

Hi Gilby

I unfortunately have never found anything on William Wilson and Ann Rice but given the names I am not surprised.
I hope to find a marriage for them or at least the birth of William to William and Ann one day.

Thank you both. So it looks like both are John but the Latin just confused me  :)

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Parents name help please

Hi all

Can anyone tell me what the parents names are for Paul Whelan and Bridget Goulding (AKA Golden). It's actually just the fathers I need. I was under the impression it's John but now not so sure.

Unfortunately that probably won't be my guy as the sons name is William Wilson with his middle name possibly bein James.

I think perhaps the marriage is indeed William Wilson and Ann Rice after all. I may well have to go through churches one by one and see if I can locate a possible marriage.

Thank you both for the help. Very much appreciated.

Hi

Sorry completely blanked on dates. William Wilson and Sarah Jane Whelan was 5th September 1885 at St Peters Church Belfast. I have seen the marriage cert but not seen the actual parish register where apparently they have listed both sets of parents.

Also all my Irish lot are Catholic as far as I have researched. I have never seen any non-Catholic ancestors.

This is the birth registration and the fathers occupation looks to be Bartender which matches the sons marriage cert of Publican.
