Renfrewshire / Robert Lundy Wilson Family-Paisley,Renfrewshire, Scot.
« on: Friday 01 August 08 02:49 BST (UK)  »
Robert Lundy Wilson, Wife Mary ??????? and sons,James, and Alexander [perhaps more children], Came to Upper Canada, around 1833, and received a land grant in Gore District, [Chingacousy,]Ayr, N. Dumfries] The death notice of Alexander states Pl. of B. as Paisley, Scot. DOB as 1826. I have not been able to locate any record of Mary ??? Wilson's death/burial  and do not know her maiden name. Usually, land grants were given in Upper Canada for military service, but again, I have not been able to verify that this was the case in Robert Lundy Wilson's grant. Could the family have been employed in military, agriculture, textiles ????? Any assistence would be most appreciated. Thank-you.

I found the Baptism in the Fonthill Bishop Parish Records of Mary Jane PERRETT, on 05 Aug. 1821, FA: John PERRETT; MO: Ann [MASTERS] PERRETT; . I have not been successfull in locating her Death or Marriage or a Census Listing. Would some one be so kind as to suggest something, please?

Thank-you for your assistance, Valda. I have Susan[na]'s death cert. and the one you cited is the correct one. We didn't believe she belonged to the Henry/Sophia family, but since the other Susanna married another, I will take a chance and order the M. Cert. Thanks again.

Thank-you, Valda. Yes, Susanna married Richard Perrett in Hindon, 1860. I am stuck on this one. The 1861 Census lists her PL. of Birth as Frome. We found one-- Susanna in Keinton Mandeville - 1851 Census; Fa:John- innkeeper, Sister: Hannah- dressmaker; Susanna - barmaid; We know from a document we received that she had a sister-but not her name. Add the one you mentioned; Plus one Susannah as visitor in  Shropshire;  Plus the Henry/Sophia family but we are not convinced that is the correct family. Richard became a maltster/innkeeper/storekeeper in later years, so I was hoping to get a bit more info prior to sending for a cert.

Thank-you for your kind attention to my request. I had searched the fiche of the Parish Reg. ordered from Salt Lake FHL. Unfortunately, the years I required were blank. Could you tell me if the Bishop's Transcripts contain the years 1790- 1800?

Thank-you for responding. We were surprized by the "51 Census showing the Neighbours" -and another twig in the tree!
