 I had a look at the 1861 census both schedules have Henry's parents as Jonathan and Hannah. Esther the lodger could be his mother but why would Jonathan and Hannah appear as Henry's parents.

 On the 1871 census Henry appears as Harry born Measham Derbyshire aged 12. Esther is the head of the family and Harry listed as grandson. Jane listed as daughter but not old enough to be Harry's mother.
I am totally confused.

Have you any ideas where else I could look for information?

Could someone who has a subscription for Canada please look up the Canadian passenger list 1865-1935 for Huston Golding and wife Jessina. I don't know what year they left Wales but they married in Maesteg in 1911. Their destination was Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I had a look on the site last night and found Huston Golding but couldn't access it as my subscription covers UK, Ireland and Australia. The Golding's are the only relatives of mine that went to Canada.

Thank you for replying to my post. All the information you gave me is the same as I have about the Lannary's. William Lannary born 20/5/1916 was married to my fathers sister Elsie Bentley. I have information on the Bentley family but not the Lannary family. I have no idea if William had siblings. He and Elsie had two sons, William Douglas born June 1946, in Hampshire died 1971, and Michael born 1953 in Malaya. Elsie Lannary died in November 2007.

Finally yesterday I received William Lannary's birth certificate. I ordered it the middle of Feb, I don't know why it took so long. William's father was Joseph Lannary, born in Antrim Northern Ireland, mother Charlotte Callaghan born in Glasgow. Married in St Rollox District 23/8/1904.
A friend here in Australia found Joseph's parents. They were Joseph born 1851 in Ireland, married Ann Mullane born 1853. Children Patrick born 1871, Thomas born 1877, William born 1879 Joseph born 1885 and Ellen born 1887 all in Antrim ireland.
My friend found this information on Scotlands people as I don't belong to it.
Let me know if any of these people appear in your tree.

Thank you for replying to my post.
I have ordered William's birth certificate, it should be here tomorrow or Monday. A friend of mine here in Australia found the information on Scotlands People. She told me that the Lannary's appear on the 1901 census for Scotland and aren't on the 1891 census. So they must have moved from Ireland during that period. I think his name was Joseph, he and his wife were born in Ireland but it didn't say where. His occupation was a pipe maker (as in smoking) and the women in the family were pipe finishers. The place of his birth was Glasgow but it probably was Garngadhill as the time frame fits.
Once I get the certificate I will let you know his parents and then you can tell me if the names appear in your tree.
