I cannot find a death for him in Australia from 1968 onwards.

That's good, slowly finding them.    No shipping records, so maybe they flew over to Canada.

I don't know how common the name is, however there is a person with the same name as one of the sons who works as Stage Supervisor at the Sydney Opera House.

Yes, I'm thinking maybe right.    Raymond Michael Crome's wife Beverley, maybe she was born in Canada.
