There was a Huguenot population in Norwich as well, but I have never been able to find records online.

Both the Spitalfields and Canterbury Huguenot registers can be found on archive.org.

I have only just remembered, I am also a 4th cousin to Mark Woodforde, the tennis player (of the Woodies fame).
Also have a more distant connection to the Dowdeswell brothers who played tennis as well.

When I informed my in-laws that they were 4th cousins once removed they told me to stop looking.  ::)

I have just uploaded a gedcom to Ancestry and made it a public tree (for now at least).

No, you can reply to messages through Ancestry without a subscription. I don't have a sub at the moment, but have been exchanging info with someone who has a private tree on there.
I have been fortunate with the covid crisis in that our public library service has made the library edition available remotely; you just sign in with your library details.

I know what you mean. In my tree I have a Thomas Dowdeswell, born in 1747 in Temple Guiting Gloucs. There are a myriad of trees that have him marrying in 1775 in Guiting Power, the next parish over.
How hard is it for these tree owners to check the Gloucs records as I did, and find his burial in 1758?
These same trees have another error a couple of generations back too. Because a John Dowdeswell had children baptised in Temple Guiting, he must be the right one, according to these trees. Reading through a couple of wills points you easily in the right direction to another John living in Hasleton, a short distance away.
