highlandmyst, My 4th great grandfather was Homer Campbell married to Janet Thompson. I think we are related some how. Would love to know what you know and vice versa. I have many pictures of Homer.

Also Janet Thompsons father was Adam Thompson and her mother was Agnes Forrest Thompson. Got all this from the Scotspeoples. My 3rth great grandfather was named for Adam Thompson. He was a twin, his brothers name I believe is Robert. Adam Thompson Campbell was my 3rd great.

Country girl,
I too have not been on here in years. Might be taking a trip next year to Scotland. I was looking for any new info when I came across your post. My ancestors were either owners or farming the Auchenhay farm. In the 1841 census Auchenhay was farmed by George and Robert Campbell. It also states they employed 4 servants and gives the names. These are my people George and Robert. :)

Yes, I'm going to try to take this as far as I can. I'll try to check those records you suggested. All born in Kirkcudbright makes a whole lot of sense. A minister in the family. Wow. Thank you again for all of your help. You have been a God send. Tiana

All this is still the archives? It makes more sense. I have some records for Robert stating that his wife was from Tongland. So..yes I'm interested in learning more about this family. Let me know your links or whatever you have. Much appreciated :) Tiana

Your right about the Kirk records, Im going to check to see of other children they had, family names that possibly Anthony used for his children.  So...close I can feel it, like I'm on to something big. LOL
