Hi Dave

Thanks for your reply. I am a bit confused with this one. My dad was a Wireless operator, air Gunner & Air Navigator. His rank at the end of the war was Flying officer, so had nothing to do with the navy.
I will come back to this one.

Thanks again Pauline

Recently I was sent photo's of medals and badges belonging to my father who was with the RAAF 1941 to 1945 and would be grateful if someone could tell me what they are. I will start with these two. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Shaun, Ed and Rosezi for your replies.
What caught my eye was the words wife and two children Shaun mentioned.
John Lawrence joined the Military on the 5 May 1812 and married Ann Story on the 8 July 1812. They had seven children from 1819 to 1831 all in Kent that I knew about. If in 1819 their were two children then their must have been other children before 1819. William born in 1819 baptised on the 17 Oct 1819 in Plaxtol, Kent where his father was born could possibly have been one of the children with Ann.I have just found a George baptised on the 4 June 1815 in Wrotham, Kent with parents John and Ann which I believe could the other missing son.

Thank you you once again for your help.
