hi my name is amanda sweeney (nee wright).  their daughter Sarah Amelia Moore was my 2 x great grandmother.  her son horace james ellis born birmingham my great grandfather, his son leonard frederick ellis my grandfather.
richard john moore was my 3 x great grandfather and is buried in the cemetery next to where i lived for over 30 years (only found this out recently).
Sarah who married alfred pond (i think ran off with my 2 x great grandfather Joseph William Donaldson and they added the surname Ellis.  i can find no record of a marriage for them).  he was from london and was a painter and decorator , on the 1881 census for birmingham there is a sarah amelia ellis with a joseph willliam donaldson ellis, their son joseph william donaldson and her daughter from her marriage to alfred.  i am hoping some dna from the  donaldson side can prove this .

This 1851?
John Hummerstone   56  Herefordshire  Carman
Lydia Hummerstone   56  Deal Kent
Emma Hummerstone   21  London
Mary A Seabridge   20
This i was about to post , so this john is not my john , therefore elizabeths mother was not lydia.
Again your help is much appreciated.

Elizabeth's Mother might, or might not, be named in parish records.

You are also then looking for marriages of her Father prior to her birth, and possible deaths of her Mother after her birth (or death after and marriage before any possible siblings.)

Many parish records are not on-line.

Why did you think it was Lydia?
I saw a john hummerston married a Lydia gardener and thought this could be her mum but now im not so sure.

Possibly George in 1861: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2M2-B8LR

Absolom is hiding in 1861, but is married by 1871:

Thank you , is there anyway to see who elizabeths mother was ? Ive tried amd cant find it , i dont think it is lydia now.  Is there a way to see witnesses for william and absolom marriages , strange how they have ended up in london.  Again all help appreciated.

What happened to all the children - have you found them in 1861?

Added:
Think Maria died 1852.  Possibly Jane also.
Yes jane died 1851 or 2 as well

These are male Hummerston/Martin births - a different family?

George Hummerston mmn Martin  June quarter 1841 Epping Union
Richard Hummerston  mmn Martin December quarter 1837  Epping Union

Added also Absolam
Absolam Hummerstone mmn Martin  September quarter 1939 Epping Union

Added: Richard died 1837 (age 0)
I think (if this john is elizabeths father, then these are elizabeths half brothers,  as absalom mother was called Sophia and he is with her in 1851)
Thank you for your help
