My friend _ DC is Hectors Grand son - he is aged 63 and has been looking a long time.
jgm - if you have info perhaps you could share it and send me what you have please?
Stevemof - how shall we discover if we are looking on behalf of the same person - my chap was a Policeman?

Thanks

Hi
Does anyone have access to the burial records which may tell me when the above person was buried and in which plot at Uplands please?
Mary Ann Bishop nee Waters was born in Middleton Cheney, Northamptonshire 6 Oct 1852 she died 26 Feb 1935 at 109 Lightwoods Road, Smethwick. Her husband was Edward Frederick Bishop B 1850 D 5 Oct 1900 Edgbaston - burial details not known
We have her funeral card but no date of the funeral nor where within the cemetery. Any help will be appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read this request.

Hi again
Sadly the photo will not come out - it appears to be stuck to the frame and may cause more damage by removing it and.... its the only picture we have of Peggy.

6
Thank you for your attempts thus far.
I shall get the photo removed from the frame and re-scanned later - I hope, sadly its not in my possession so it needs some negotiating!!!

Hi everyone
Can anyone improve the quality of this photo please?

I put this on the Essex board myself because  such are the connections for this man to Dumbarton, Essex and the USA I asked for a Moderator to link my initial thread to the Essex and USA boards and that never happened.

Hi Everyone
Mods - can you link this to Essex and maybe USA/Michigan please where we know this man had links.

Essentially I am looking for his death /burial / re marriage - anything but he is so elusive after 1932. There are 2 CLACHER families from Dunbartonshire and so I shall list what we know, which I hope may help one of you good folk help me find out what happened to Hector.
We think in or after 1932 he may have returned to the USA without his wife and family?

B - 19 Jan 1898 Dumbarton
1901 - 10 Rochead Place, Dumbarton with parents
4 June 1918 - RAF
10 Oct 1921 m - Dumbarton to Catherine CAMPBELL
1922 - Dumbarton - daughter Bernadette Maria CLACHER born
11 Aug 1922 Departs Glasgow for USA
19 Aug 1922 Arrives Canada
21 Aug 1922 Arrives Michigan USA
16 Mar 1923 wife and daughter depart Glasgow for Canada en route to Detroit
1924 Detroit - daughter Catherine Campbell CLACHER born
1927 Detroit daughter Gloria Ann CLACHER (aka Annie) born
1928 Detroit son James Paul CLACHER (aka Sonny) born

10 Oct 1930 Arrives Liverpool
1932 Dumbarton son Daniel Campbell CLACHER born

then nothing

1939 - registers show wife (married) and 4 children in Hornchurch, Essex - No Hector

Hector did work for the Ford Motor Company in Detroit and possibly in Essex.
