That's a good idea. I'll do that.

I tried Facebook but no results.  She was born in December 1940 and her mother died in July 1941 so she was about 7 months old.

Sorry to take so long to reply. Thanks for your suggestion. Might be the only way.

Ok thanks. It might be worth asking the social worker about that.

I have an aunt who was born in 1941 and was adopted as a baby due to her mother dying in bombing.  I contacted social services to try to trace my aunt but was told all they could confirm was that she was registered with a doctor in the UK.
She has one surviving full sister in her eighties who would love to be reunited with her. There are also many other family members who would be happy to welcome her back if she is willing to allow contact.
What do I need to try next?
Thanks.

Hello Claire,
Thanks for explaining your family connection. I'm still trying to work out my Trevett line but I know we must be cousins. I've been trying to use information from my Ancestry DNA test results and have a cousin of ours on there who is trying to work it out with me. It always helps to have someone to discuss it with. Thanks again to all those who have shared information.
It was nice to hear from you Claire.

Thank you very much for taking the time to put together all this information. It's going to be very interesting to go through it and see what I've missed. I didn't know about Richard's marriage to Barbara Smith. This is all very helpful and much appreciated.  :)
