I know this is an old post but Im hoping someone may still be interested. I have been trying to trace this family for some years as my son is the 5xgt-grandson of Edward through his son Samuel born 1832. On the notes I have about the settlement it states 2 children born before marriage to Mary Taylor. George was born 1826 so there is poss another child to discover & I am trying to tie in an Edward Ellis who Ive found on 1871 census born around 1821 living in Wales with a wife called Elizabeth who was born 1832 in Brampton Derbyshire. Also Henry Ellis born 1836 in Bakewell is living in Brampton in 1851 with Mary Ellis a widow born 1798 who is a housekeeper. This Henry is poss the one who on his burial in 1885 in Sheffield has been living at the same address as his brother Samuel who dies in 1887. I haven't been able to find anything about this Mary who is a housekeeper in 1851 or about Edward born around 1792. Would anyone have any up to date info on this family.

Thanks Captain 2 for the info.
I've found a Dennis Bruce buried at Gamlingay 10/8/1818 aged 36 which gives a birth of 1782 so could poss be another son born to John & Jane. This Dennis marries Lucy Cox 17/12/1799 at
Gt. Gransden & have children at Gamlingay.

Huntingdonshire / Bruce burials at Winwick

I've come across 2 burials in the 1790's with no age given so I'm hoping someone may be able to provide these.
They are      John Bruce buried 11/1/1793
                   Jane Bruce buried 19/3/1796
Also hoping there may be other Bruce burials at Winwick.
My 4xgt-grandfather was James Bruce who died at Offord Darcy in 1823 aged 67 & recently I've found a baptism of a James at Winwick on 3/6/1757 son of John & Jane so trying to tie these together.
Thanks

Hi Sandy
Thanks for looking. Will study the map to see which nearby villages to B.L. & Isham might be a possibility.

Thanks Sandy
Have already got some info from that site on an Edward Puleston who was rector at Burton Latimer 1593-1607 & found some Brabrookes on the Manor Court Rolls. There doesn't seem to be any coverage of parish registers on the net so was hoping someone may access to marriage info.
Thanks Lynn S

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Burton Latimer Marriages

Would anyone be able to check a marriage for Andrew Shrive to an Elizabeth around 1590 at I think Burton Latimer. Their first child I have as Richard Shrive b.1593 at Burton. I'm descended from their son Puleston who marries Cicely Braybroke so I've a hunch about Elizabeths maiden name but can't find anything to back it up as yet.
Hoping someone can help.
Thanks Lynn S

Thanks again John
Am I able to email BLARS to ask for will info or is it a case of going in person. I visit my bro. in Somersham a couple of times a year so could put it on my list of things to check.

Thanks John
I've got his first marriage as 1785 to Ann so not sure if James in 1789 is first child, seems a bit of a gap ! This James marries Dinah Sabey & witnesses on their wedding at Bolnhurst in 1813 are John Walker & what looks like Jos Edrop.
