The child's date of birth may help you confirm if it's your family line. If there was an address in the school admission records then you should be able to find the family in the 1891 census.

It says Hatton of Fintray. That's very useful to know. It says May 27th, 7.30pm. All Scottish birth certificates show the actual time of birth.

Hi, just to say that if the birth certificate was on scotlandspeople then you do not need to order it. It can be viewed and downloaded for a few credits. It is not costly!
