It costs £30.00 for them to undertake a search.

I apologise for giving the wrong information. The system must have changed since I requested service from them. Sorry

The Common Room / Pre 1837 Marriage Nowlan/Mullins
« on: Wednesday 03 January 24 14:24 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to find a marriage between a Daniel John Nowlan and Catherine Mullins. I am putting it here because I have absolutely no idea where it took place as the family did move around a bit. According to census entries Daniel was born c.1811 (occ soap maker/manufacturer) in Spitalfields Middlesex and Catherine was born c.1812 in Ireland. I have found her alleged maiden name from GRO birth entries for their children born after the birth index came into being. One of their children is called Octaves (or Octavious b.1849), so I am sure that these are their children.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Very odd Common Ancestor / Thrulines match

Ancestry trees are definitely to be taken with a pinch of salt. I sometimes look at them, but validate anything plausible with my own in depth research. Most of time this disproves them. For example, for one of my brick walls there are several identical trees which have a mother who was born over 20 years after her son's baptism...

Higler?

HIGLER, Eng. law. A person who carries from door to door, and sells by retail, small articles of provisions, and the like.

Queenie  :)
Thank you both for helping me. I had thought Higler, but was doubting myself (and whether that was an H).
