Northamptonshire / Nora May MARKHAM. Help Please
« on: Tuesday 21 October 08 13:14 BST (UK)  »
A friend of mine is looking for information on his grandmother

Nora May MARKHAM b.13 April 1898 in Silvertone, Towcester, Northampton.

Nora May later on became known as

May MARKHAM d. May 1999 in Northampton

Nora never married but had 1 son.We have her birth and death information

Can anyone tell me if there is any way I can find any information on her 100 birthday maybe it would have been in a local paper?

Maybe there are people who live in the area that know of her or who have photo's.

We would be eternally gratefull for any help you can give.

Thanks

Pat

Hi Steven,

My husband has a relative buried in Anfield. A headstone was not on the grave but the grave number was shown on a concrete block in the ground.

Help!!!!!!!

I was looking for birth details for my uncle James KEARNS on 1837online. My mum had told me he was born in March 1938 but I found his details on the April-June 1838 page. I ordered the certificate online using the GRO information but a message came back saying they couldn't locate the certificate. I then sent same GRO ref details off but for Jan-March 1938. Again I was told they could not locate the certificate. On both occasions I was charged for the search.

Can anyone tell me how I will be able to get a copy of his birth certificate if the information on file is wrong?

Thanks

Pat

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1871 census look up please
« on: Wednesday 30 March 05 14:00 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
can someone please look on the 1871 census for

Hugh BORLAND b 1838 Scotland occ. Joiner
Isabella BORLAND b 1839 Scotland wife
Margaret BORLAND b 1868 Liverpool daughter
John BORLAND b 1870 Scotland son

Hugh & Isabella married in 1864 in St John The Baptist Church, Toxteth Park. Hugh's address on the marriage certificate was Clive Street Toxteth Park.

The 1881 census shows them living in New Road Formby.

I know the family moved about possibly with Hugh's work as 2 of the later children were born in Barrow in Furness.

So not sure of area that family may have been living in in 1871.

Thanks

Fife / Re: drummond family torryburn

Hi Krissy,

my Drummonds come from Torryburn and there is a Christian Drummond but she was born 1809 and she married David Cunningham. Not the same one as yours but maybe some relation somwhere along the line?
My John Drummond was born in 1770 and his parents were David Drummond and Anne Templeman.

If any of this may be of help to you let me know.
