Essex Completed Lookup Requests / Frederick Charles Brown of Halstead in Essex
« on: Monday 09 February 09 09:44 GMT (UK)  »
I am doing this research for a family member.  There are in the censuses, in and around Halstead through the 19th Century. a number of Frederick Browns, mostly related and I've been working on this off and on for several weeks to try and sort out of the Fredericks.  There are still a few things that I've not been able to iron out.  Rather than go into that though ...

Is anyone tracing Frederick Charles BROWN (of Halstead) born abt 1880 who in 1910 married (in Halstead) Martha BACON (of Sible Hedingham) born abt 1884?

 :)Thank you.

Meg

Cheers

Caroline was married in 1840 which would explain why she wasn't on the 1851 list kindly supplied by Geoff.

For your interest she, of course, appeared in the census as Caroline Deal, from the info I've previously been given at:
30 High Street Green, Sible Hedingham, Essex, England (30) HO/107/1784/Halstead District Page 89

:D   :D I was that thrilled to see more posts in this forum.

Many of the Wisemans on my list appear in your 1851 census, Geoff.  That's great.  Although I note that Caroline isn't but there would a good reason for that no doubt.  I received this windfall gratefully, thank you.

And Bopeep (or is that Ron), I have your James Wiseman on my list as born 1826 but  I don't doubt that your date is the more reliable one, and no other details on him except that he was in the 1841 Census: "Cobbs, Sible Hedingham, Essex, England (age 14)" - which census I was sent an excerpt of if anyone is interested.

I have info on Caroline, Maria and John and their families, if you'd like to exchange info (although you may well already know what I know).  I'd be very pleased though to see anything you have on this Wiseman Line.

Kind regards
Meg

I have a number of Wisemans of Sible Hedingham on my list who are connections of my father's family, the Deals (who also were either from Sib Hed or Halstead).

Caroline (1821) married Henry Deal and Maria (1830) married George Deal.  I believe they were both children of John (abt 1794) and Judith Wiseman (abt 1794).
