It would help if I knew how Jane fitted into the family ?
was Jane your direct relative ?
SP Index has a Jane Stevenson marrying an Andrew Hyslop in 1996. ?

Just an update.
Got in touch with ajkm62 by phone and then by email.
I was given lots of info on Daniels family plus some great photographs.
My thanks once more to the great folks here on Roots Chat. :)

So very sorry to hear about Anne's death.
Anne was an absolute wealth of information and always so willing to help people with their searches.
I am only now beginning to get back into the family tree and will miss her friendly banter.

With sadness
          Fergie.

Seems to be the way to go. I did fancy a trip to the records office.

I have a photo of the wedding of Alexander Easton Ferguson and Robina Campbell Mills married in 1939 at Tullialan.
No descendants of this family exist
The photo shows two adult bridesmaids.
Is there any way to find out their names

Cheers

Family History Programs, Tree Organisation, Presentation / Re: What Tree Program

Don't see FTM2017 on sale anywhere. Amazon seems to have had their shelves cleared and there isn't even one on ebay. I suspect that FTM2017 will die a quick and sudden death in the near future.

Having said that. Roots Magic it probably a better option for me.
I'm only dabbling and tidying up on the tree now and I'm more interested now in making copies on disc that I can distribute to the family.

Still open to suggestions though.

Cheers

Family History Programs, Tree Organisation, Presentation / What Tree Program
« on: Wednesday 02 September 20 15:40 BST (UK)  »
For many years I have been using an old Family Tree Maker version 10 that my computer is not happy with.  When I got this computer about tree years or so ago, I opted for Windows 7 rather than Windows 8 and every time I open the Family Tree the computer tells me that there is a compatibility problem but runs the program anyway.
I want to upgrade but do not want to go with Ancestry and their Cloud system.
I am doing two different trees, My wife's and my own, on two different computers.
What program can I buy on disc that will allow me to upload the files from Family Tree Maker.

Thanks in anticipation
