Sorry no.  My Louis Kocher immigrated here from Switzerland in the early 20th century.  He had only one sister who  lived in South America.

Seems not related here in England.

Louis' father in Switzerland was married five times but we know nothing of any other family, so there is the slight possibilty there may be a connection but we know nothing to help you.

Sorry

Deanne

I don't think we have the same Kocher family.  Ours had just 3 girl children born around 1912-1918 so the family name then died out.  Also Rosalie is buried in Stevenage cemetery.

Sorry can't help you

I am very new to this forum and just found your old posting.

The Alice Mason and Herman De Barranca you were searching for were my husband's great grandparents and Rosalie was his grandmother.  Alice said she had a sister (possibly Emma) who lived in Manchester and was married to the conductor of a large orchestra and carried all her jewellery around in a large gladstone bag.  May just be a family myth however.  Alice and Herman's marriage did not last long, she said he died of an insect bite while in South America, certainly I have never found anything further of him apart from the newspaper cutting and the naturalisation papers.  Incidentally his parent were from Prussia.  Apparently very rich with family estates there.  Herman's oldest son was educated in Heidelberg, probably at a school military academy.  He returned home with what he claimed to be a duelling scar on his face.  Sadly when Herman disappeared so did the money.

Can you let me have any information you have about the Mason side of the family in Cheshire please?
