Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Re: Marriage look up please for James Lloyd
« on: Tuesday 18 May 10 08:31 BST (UK)  »
Hi Paul

That's great anyway, it confirms that I should be looking in Henllan not Denbigh. Thank you for looking that up, I'll get the registry for Henllan from Clwyd fhs.

Hi Paul,

Thanks very much

James Lloyd and Anne Williams married in Henllan on 22nd April, 1826 but as they were both in their thirties at the time I would be grateful if I could find if either was a widow/er. I can't find birth dates for Anne Williams
at  the moment so any help would be very welcome.

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / Re: Mary Allman

Hi Suz,

John Hughes died 1831, Mary Allman 1838 so unfortunately all I have to go on is the fact that Mary was only 19 when she married so, possibly, hadn't travelled very far. Their children are all recorded on IGI in Llanfyllin and the first child, Mary Ann, was born 1820 so they were there then. Nothing else to go on I'm afraid.

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / Mary Allman
« on: Tuesday 11 May 10 13:34 BST (UK)  »
I'm struggling to find any evidence of the birth of Mary Allman, born 1799 according to her death cerificate registered in Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire. There is a record on IGI for her marriage to my great (x4) grandfather John Hughes on 23/7/1819 in Stoke on Trent and as he was a soldier he could have met Mary anywhere. They subsequently moved to Llanfyllin and had a family there. Is there anyone with  Allman family in and around Stoke or has any further clues about this? I'd be very grateful for any help.

Hi Sally, merry Christmas. Couldn't believe you found my post on here but I was trying to build on the sterling research you and Mark have done on our family. After 20 years I'm sure you've found far more than I have but if you'd like to share information send me your e mail address and I'll send you any information I have. Great to hear from you, Ceri

Bridget, Paul,

That's more than I could have hoped for, thank you. :D
I looked at the 1841 census and found Moses Lewis and his wife Jane living at Tyn y Caeau and William Williams aged 11 living with them. They are still there in 1851 but as Moses and Jane Roberts and Catherine Williams aged 17 there too.

Is it likely that Jane Lewis is Jane Williams with her second husband?  :-\
