Derbyshire Resources & Offers / Re: Ault Hucknall look up offered

Hi Stainforth - Jenny Burton was my 3x Gt. Grandmother who lived most of her life in Hucknall Torkard. She m. Joseph Burton & they had at least 8 children inc. my 2x Gt Grandfather Joseph Burton. Incidentally in case you are not aware this was their second child bpt. Joseph the 1st having d. the year prior to the 2nd Joseph being b.
So far I have not found anyone following this line further forward- do you? or are your ancestors down a different line?.
Are you aware there is a quarterly newsletter called "Hucknall Times" which I find quite interesting?
I wrote an article about Jenny which was published in this newsletter which if you interested I could send you

Thanks for the look-up even though it didn't add any further information. I will just have to keep looking although I now know where they  weren't  bu.

My 3x Gt Grandmother was bpt. in Ault Hucknall on 22 Jul 1753. She was called Jane Andrew with parents Wm. & Mary Andrew. Did the latter d. & were bu. in Ault Hucknall as they had moved to the area having been m. elsewhere or did they move from the area before their deaths?
Your help in solving this problem would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks I have this info from the excellent Wirksworth web site.I have posted on the Derbys site Without too much success. However as some of their offspring were b. after 1837 in Wadsley I am presently awaiting a b. cert to give me the surname of Georges wife before progressing further.

Nottinghamshire / Re: Bonnington in Hucknall Torkard 18th. C

No not 100%
It was based on places of m. to Ann Rhodes in 1782(Philimores) & bu. in 1796 at St. Mary's H.T. (Notts bu. & others)
If your date of 1768 is correct it indicates a bpt. at age 8 (not impossible). However from D.O.M. in 1782 a b. in 1768 is very unlikely DOB.
Do you know if the George you refer to m. Ann Rhodes?
Thanks for your info

Hi Lazylover
Many thanks for the time you have spent trying to sort out my "Name Problem"
I think you have been successful. Your "long shot" I believe is correct-Edward Price b. 1852 Q3 being correct as it fits with the DOD for Price which from his death cert & other info I have I am almost certain is correct. The dropping of the name Edward could be correct as one of his offspring Edward Goronwy was always known as Goronwy.
Yes they were the family at Alun Bank in 1881 & Rhydygalad Rd in 1891.
It would appear the Price b. 1851 poss son of Robert & Ellen has been the cause of all the problems
Once again thanks & it is now on to the next problem but this won't be in Flintshire

Hi
Price m. Mary Jones in 1880 I have the m. cert (which gives place as Flint Parish Church) & amongst their offspring was my g'father b. Mold.-cert shows these were his parents.
I have looked in the original census returns without luck but some pages are unreadable-some virtually blank pages.
It is mainly the change in christian names on different certs that is causing the problems
Thanks for your time in trying to help me
