His wife was Jane Train.  I do not know who you mean for the Maria aged 40.  They did not have a child Maria.  Thank you for these links, I will have a look at them.

Yes he remarried and wife was Jane.  Sorry I put wrong wife on there.  I have changed it.

He was a brickmaker in 1841 census.

I cannot find any shipping records for that time.  Thought they would give me a clue to where they went.

Please can anyone help find the births for these two children.  Their father went to France (we do not know why) and his wife had these two children while they were there.  Fathers name was William George Garbutt (1799) and his wife was Jane.  They had several other children but in the UK.  Several of us are looking at the family as we are direct descendents and are baffled as to where and why they went to France.  they must have gone after July quarter of 1940 as they had a child then in South Shields.

I have a Robert Munro Dutton b.1920 who married a Charlotte Jane DePutron in 1946.  His wife was my mothers cousin.  His father was Albert b.1889. Mother was Sarah Atkinson

Robert and Charlotte had three children.

I have a lot of Dutton in my family tree and have a George Henry born in 1892 South Shields.  As they are cousins I have not looked much further but have a list of all his brothers and sisters and their parents.
