Hello Margaret

Thank you so much for taking the time to look this up for me.  It is much appreciated.  I am hoping the Mary Rea is a relative and can provide me with another avenue to follow.

Best wishes and many thanks.

Hi,

I would just like the complete transcript to see if it gives any extra info including witnesses.

Can anyone check the marriage of James Rea to Elizabeth Billingsley 30 August 1828 at St Martin Birmingham please?

I have them in all census.

Thank you.

Hi Bob

I'm afraid it doesn't mean either!  It's very 'hit and miss' as to the completeness of the NBI so they could well be there, just not transcribed.

Good luck with your research.

Hi Bob

I'm afraid Catherine doesn't appear in the NBI.

Best wishes

Karen and anyone else

Be careful of the dates!

I found my great aunt and it states she died 10 June 2001 (10.6.2001)

She actually died 6.10.2001

It also states her death was registered 10 August 2001 (10.8.2001)

It was actually registered 8.10.2001

It looks like they're getting some of the days/months the wrong way round.

Pete

The 1841 census entry could confirm Sarah was Sarah Rowe although no relationships are listed (ages are rounded up or down to the nearest 5 years for adults depending on the enumerator):

HO107/910 Folio 18 Page 5.  Cound Moor
George EDWARDS, 50, Ag Lab, born Shropshire
Sarah EDWARDS, 50, born Shropshire
James EDWARDS, 20, Ag Lab, born Shropshire
Thomas EDWARDS, 13, Ag Lab, born Shropshire
Mary EDWARDS, 20, born Shropshire
Margaret ROWE, 80, born Shropshire

Hope that helps.

Best wishes

Hi Pete

Thanks for your reply.

The furthest I have gone back is Richard Steadman & siblings, all baptised at Condover between 1786 & 1795 to John Steadman & Jane.

Richard was born 1788 and married Maria Wall at Acton Burnell, daughter of Thomas Wall & Mary Brasier, both stated as 'of Berrington' at their marriage at Acton Burnell in 1770.

I had no idea that Acton Burnell church was RC.  I have the parish records for the church, plus Frodesley & also Condover so if I can help you, let me know.

Trevor family just states Donington on all census so I don't know which one it is.

Best wishes
Karen
