Ida Janet JONES is a direct relly to me , I am researching the JONES family etc. I traced her from Tasmania to the Mainland (Melbourne) by boat but noithing from there on ??? ...see my earlier posts cheers

Subject ...Ida janet JONES (b.1902 Sorell,Tasmania,Australia)

Researching subject person and her family members , I am directly related ?.
Ida after a family dispute left home to possably follow a nursing career against parents wishes, she was never seen/heard of again ??    Shipping records show a Ida JONES was a passenger on the SS Katoomba from melbourne,Victoria to Sydney,New South Wales. on 6/5/1918 ???
Other Information was that she went to New Zealand ???

much thanks to all replys to my relly Joeph ,much appreciated, in respect to Joseph and Sarah's chilfdren ,I also have a  George (b)20/4/1797(d)28/2/1838
Richard (b)4/8/1810 (d)..?...      also I have some info that Joseph (Convict)
had criminal history before the event that caused him to be 'transported'
does anyone have any knowledge of his criminal history ??   once again thanks

Thanks Genie,...............The info on Joseph Pedder was great, I had some but learnt more.. ?? he arrived Tasmania, did not go to Port Arthur, he was 'leased'
straight to a well to do gentlrman on a farm property, much later receiving his "Ticket of Leave' followed by his Conditional aprdon , the condition being NOT TO RETURN TO ENGLAND , so he settled down. married , had about 10 children , became a property owner and a respected citiszen in the business arena of Hobart  , died in 1883 , his headstone is being looked after by another relly here in Tasmania ?? also has a  smallplaque in the 'Convict trail in Campbell Town ..thanks for your help  GraemeP
