thanks for the information. I have been through my notes from two years ago and found that i noted that they were possibly married 25/12/1891 in Purley. My records do not give any other information like how and where this came from! note - must keep better records -  but is seems to match your earlier finding of a marriage

"There is a marriage Henry BROWN with a possible match Eleanor KILLICK Dec quarter 1891 Croydon registration district 2a 500.  It will be easier to trace Henry once you have his father's name and other details from the marriage certificate.  Do you have the family in the 1901 census?"

I have lots on Eleanor's side throught the Killick Society - but thanks anyway.

I must get the certificate

hi there, thanks for the reply.

I have him and his family in the 1901 census living in Bartlett Street, Croydon, married to Eleanor of course a having 4 children. One of the children, lily, was my Grandmother.

I have not got the marriage cert. But my notes suggest his father might be a Joseph Brown.

Looking for help finding Henry Brown, born ~ 1865, in Croydon - not sure of Croydon. In 1894 he was living in Dering Place, Croydon and was a Railway Labourer. He married Eleanor Killick, don't know when, but in 1891 he would have been 26 ish so might be married in the return.

I am trying to link Edward Albert Gibbs (died 10/12/1962 aged 61) with a possible sister, Daisy. I do not know when he was born so i'm not sure if he appears in the 1901 census.

Thanks for the replys...... I'm afraid i have little information on Albert other than what i have already given. One correction is that he died on 21/02/1944. Family members think he was born Brighton or Bognor Regis?

If he was 47 when he died, that makes him 5 ish in 1901? so I'm afraid Iria it's probably not him

Looking for Edward Albert Gibbs, born 1901 (don't know month), died 1962, my Gfather. Probably born Bethnal Green, London

Don't think he ever married married Emily Margaret Lee, had two sons, Edward Albert my father.

Lots of info on Emily's family, completely stuck on Edward
