Midlothian / New Dalry Cemetery, Edinburgh

I have an ancestor who died in 1890 and the Cemetery Registers have him buried in New Dalry Cemetery. Online, I can only find references and sites dealing with Dalry Cemetery which opened in the 1840s and looks as though it is having some fantastic restoration work done at the moment.
Is anybody aware if Dalry Cemetery and New Dalry Cemetery are one and the same? The ancestor died in St Cuthbert’s Poorhouse, if that adds to the picture at all.

Hi Andy, how very kind of you to reply. I did eventually discover where my link to Agnes Brogan was. Brogan was her married name, and she married my grandfather's cousin, rather than she herself being his cousin.

I am trying to read the address where an ancestor was living in Edinburgh when he married in 1864. I take it to be No 17 H??? Close, Pleasance, Edinburgh.
I can't see anything on a current map which fits the bill. I have had a look at some of the historic town plans on the NLS website, but drawn a blank.
Wondered if anyone here had any ideas.

I just can't tell you how great it is to have that information. I have been sitting on that certificate for so long without realising it. At the weekend I went back to re-examine all my information along this line and realised there was this little snippet that I had missed at the time. It certainly puts John in some kind of framework which I have been lacking up until now.

Thanks so much for the info about The Bedford. The timing is absolutely fine - it was John Houston's son who was being married in 1864. It was his third marriage and he was 70.
John Houston is the one I am really looking for information on. I only have his name from his son's BMDs. I have no idea where John came from or where he ended up, so any information at all can potentially help.
