Hello Jack, I have no connection with Mahood's but I have many pages listing various Mahood families both in Ireland and abroad commencing with Reverend Alexander McWhidd. If you send me an email through the attached website I can email you what I have. Regards, Leslie https://www.bailiepublications.com

Shercock (Glasleck) Presbyterian Church situated a few miles from Shercock on the road to Bailieborough had Aikins families attending. Listed in the financial report for 1865 is Robert Aikins with William Aikins treasurer. In 1879 there is a Robert Aikens and a Mrs Aikens listed and in the early 1900s the name is listed as Eakins. https://www.bailiepublications.com

I have communicated with Michael Young who resides in NSW Australia. He has compiled a book entitled 'A Family Kaleidoscope - The Young Family & Inter-related Families 1500 - 2000'. His book details the Young's who originated in Scotland, came to Ireland including Bailieborough and later dispersed to other locations. If you send me an email through the website I can put you in contact with Michael. https://www.bailiepublications.com

Corrie's and Stewart's still reside in the Bailieborough area. Although your spelling is 'Corry' I suspect
this may be incorrect? The first Corrie who settled in Bailieborough mid 1800s came from Ballybay in Co Monaghan. Part of the Bailieborough Corrie family also settled in Canada. I have quite a bit of family tree information on Corrie families. https://www.bailiepublications.com

In the baptismal register of Corraneary Presbyterian Church, Bailieborough there is an entry as follows: Samuel McKelvey and Jane Bloomer, Sarah, 2nd child, 1809. This register is dated 1764 - 1810. I will have a look in the register that follows and see if any more children are listed. Regards, Les. www.bailiepublications.com

Hello Jack, Greetings from Bailieborough. I have passed your query on to Terry Mahood in California whose ancestors came from this area of County Cavan. I'm sure he will be in touch and share with you details I have forwarded recently to him about several Mahood families who once resided in East Cavan. Best regards, Les. www.bailiepublications.com

Check out Generation 2 on the link below of David Byers Family Tree. David lives in Belfast and you can send him a message, I'm sure he knows what church John and Esther were married in.
Regards, Les  :)

I had a look in Seafin Presbyterian Church records as both surnames appear in the marriage records. However the marriage you are searching for is not listed. The register commences July 1846, could it have been before then? Another church with similar surnames which might be worth checking out is Bellasis Presbyterian Church.
