Hi Sarah

That is them, perfect match with my 1851 and 1861 census info (except for the ages but they are close enough).

Thank you so much, I was beginning to think I'd never find John - my direct ancestor. My Hallett's have been quite elusive! I hadn't thought of looking for that particluar spelling.

Thanks again. ;)

Louise

Thanks for the info on John but I don't think he's mine. He definitely has George as his father on his marriage certificate.

Thanks for looking, though, much appreciated.

They sound about right. Thank you everyone, thank you thank you!!! I will double check my info but it's looking good.

One more request, any chance of finding a baptism for John Hallett, c. 1845/46. There was also a Maria and a Louisa (from the 1851/61 census and John's marriage cert.)

Thanks again

Regards

Louise

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Hallett - Lambeth, Surrey

Hi
I am trying to locate my Hallett ancestors prior to 1845. I have them on the 1851 census through to 1891 in Lambeth but can't find them on the 1841 census.

Does anyone out there have access to, or could tell me how I can get access to, any information prior to the censuses. My first 'look up' request would be to find the marriage of George Hallett to Elizabeth (Betsey) Britton. I think this would have been sometime in the 1830's as their eldest child was born somewhere between 1839 and 1845 (census info varies for his age as does his name, George or John, they both exist but who's the eldest is not clear) and I am assuming this would be in the Lambeth area, of course i could be wrong! George was a boilermaker.

Many thanks in advance for any help anyone an give me - I've been stuck on this for about 2 years!!

Louise
