My father seems to think it was the grenadier guards, his name is Richard Beale ,he came from Salford but may have originated in London. His father (my grt grandfather) was Thomas Beale who we are led to believe was a Drum Major possibly the same regt and we think he spent some of his time in Afganistan /India.
thank you in advance for any light on the subject

i'd love to give it back to her as it used to be,i'm very impressed with your finished photos on other threads,i hope someone can help. Also i need to find out the regiment if possible ?(grenadier guards?) his name is Richard Beale from Salford but i think the family originated in London. He was my grans brother who was Constance Beale. We are also led to believe my great grandfather Thomas Beale was  a Drum Major possibly same regt? We are also led to believe he served at sometime in afganistan or india i think.Any help would be most appreciated.

Contacted my father today,he said Albert terrace was the scrap yard they owned situated in the Hanky park area of Salford now known as Hankinson Way. (Salford precinct)love some photos of that area if ther'es any out there? also it was 5 garages at 93GCS but used for storage for the merchandise they sold.

Hi MIGKY, 93 GCS was the family home, dad can describe it quite well, big front garden with a central staircase as you entered the premises. he remembers it having a brick lodge house and 3 garages,he also remembers a german bomb landing in the front garden (unexploded) that ripped up a large willow tree in the garden,i inherited a couple of pieces of bedroom furniture from my gran (annie  b1904) washstand and dressing table that originated from this house.very nice pieces. Albert terrace though i know nothing about and will follow your lead, thanks for all your groundwork, graham
