I have an ancestor in the 1901 census aged 86.... Yet on her death certificate in 1903 she died at the ripe old age of 100 years old!

Which age is most likely to be correct?

Hello Everyone,
I need help with the above person who is my G grandfather.
I have him on the 1901 Census in Ballaghmoon and also have his death certificate in 1902 in the same location aged 67.
What I am unable to find is his birth C.1835 and his marriage to an Ellen Byrne around the 1860`s as I am unable to locate the relevant parish records.

Is anyone able to offer any help/Advice?

Thank you all for your help. Viewing the map I was sent I can see that East Street runs to the rear. My gggrandad`s wife Elisa was born there. Also Paul Street and Upper High Street all had a members of my family at one time.  Will be popping down to Taunton in a couple of weeks so I am grateful for the information. Thanks for your response. You have found the right family for Joseph. John lived in Exeter.
I have no information with regards to their parents John and Mary.I don't know their birth death nor marriage dates other than confirmation of the names on certificate s I have obtained.

Evening Everybody,

I think I posted this about 4 years ago but had no luck.

So I am going to request your help to see if you can shed any light on this five year old brick wall. Here goes.

I am looking for the baptism records for JOHN HANCOCK born cica 1824 Taunton and his brother JOSEPH HANCOCK b.c 1814. Taunton

I have all the relevant census records and Wills for the above people and I know all there is to know regarding their lives after their births but cant confirm their birth dates.

Their sister ELIZABETH HANCOCK was born in Wilton in 1816 and the parish record confirm this.

The only other details I can confirm are the parents names JOHN and MARY HANCOCK. JOHN was a  silk weaver/weaver, but I dont know where they were born and cannot confirm their deaths.

Is any one able to offer any advise?
