Yes, I have seen these documents but I feel I'm missing something. Is one a fragment from 1851 census?
There seem to be three lists.
A John and Jane in ? 1851??
Then John and Ann with children labelled as post 1851.

What is the date near the Archibald file? It looks like 20 (or is it /70')?

I have this John as:

    Anne Armstrong
23 Jan 1855 • Sixmilecross, Tyrone, Northern Ireland

20 years bachelor farmer Brackey. Father: HUGH McIVOR (decd) farmer & ANNE ARMSTRONG 17 years spinster Brackey. Father: JAMES ARMSTRONG farmer Witnesses: WILLIAM FULTON & DENNIS WARD

    1830–1868
    John McIvor

    1866–
    Christian (a) McIvor

    1868–

Spouse and children

    Jane Morrow
17 Jan 1871 • Sixmilecross, Tyrone, Northern Ireland

He widowed and she spinster. Farmer of Brackey, son of Hugh McIver -farmer
    Hugh McIvor

    1872–1945
    Edward McIvor

    1873–1930
    Sarah Jane McIvor

    1874–
    Margaret Jane McIvor

I have this John and Ann ... as the son of Hugh, brother of 'my' Daniel.

I have just read a history that has my Daniel as married twice - to an Elizabeth Ross and a Martha ???

I don't think I'd realised how tiny my ancestral areas were Cloughfin, Sixmilecross and Brackey.

Thank you so much Linda. I'll do a trace and see if I can find descendents for those men and look for a William - possibly a brother to Robert.

Looking for any clues to a 'stray' HOUSTON. I have a Mary HOUSTON/HUSTON marrying Robert LYONS c 1838/9 in Cloughfin/Edenderry area of OMAGH (County Tyrone). They had 5 children that I know of - James c 1840, Letitia c 1844, John 1846 (Edenderry), Andrew (1849) and Mary (1850). Both Robert and Mary died in 1872 and were buried in Drumnakilly. The gravestone suggests Mary was born c 1810.

There is a Robert Houston in the Sixmilecross area.
Does anyone know anything about this Mary or Robert (supposedly son of a Hugh Huston).
Any help gratefully received. This Mary is a total mystery.

Fife / Re: Offer: Headstones In Largo & Kilconquhar Cemeteries

Thank you Norrie.

Where else might a Thomas WHYTE/White and his wife Margaret Sympson be buried in the area? On his daughter's wedding in 1806 it clearly says her father was 'TW of Largo'

Thank you for your wonderful offer which I hope is still open. Would it be possible to post all the gravestones/records you have in groups?

I'm looking for: 1.  Thomas WHYTE/White and his wife, Margaret Simpson/Sympson ... between 1780 and 1821 in Largo (or perhaps Kilconquahar)

2.Also any Whites in those years in K.

Thank you

Did you ever find out anything about James Williamson of Kier? How close is it to Auchterderran? His son James lived there presumbably because last 5 children born there up until 1793. At some point after 1781 James junior became a grocer and left weaving behind.

James Williamson junior buried
26 Mar 1824 • KIrkaldy, Fife, Scotland    (Christening 13 Feb 1779 • Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland)

His father, also James Williamson died 8 years later - (Death 19 Mar 1832 • Kirkaldy, Fife, Scotland)

I would be delighted if someone in Fife area could go and find out if there is a burial record with more details and a tomb stone.

The wife of JW junior was Elizabeth Whyte Death
31 Dec 1827 • KIrkaldy, Fife, Scotland   her father was Thomas WHITE of Largo and died in 1834 but there are two possible burials in the same year. One was Lundin Mill I believe.

JW senior was married twice. His first wife Margaret PHILP died somewhere between 1793 (birth of last child) and 1821 (his remarriage to Euphemia Stuart). Would love someone to find her. I haven't succeeded.

Do you have a copy of both JW's wills? If you can now manage to get in touch via personal message I can send you what I have.
