They are fabulous restorations.  Thank you.  It is a wonderful photo isn't it.  They are my GGGrandparents. Born in the mid 1820s and married in the 1850s. They had 10 children.  I wonder if it could be a wedding photo, although she does look like she could be pregnant.

I have a handheld scanner and was always pleased with the results, however, I've started using my digital camera to take photographs instead.  I recently was allowed access to a cemeteries record books and was able to photograph all the pages very quickly and the results were superb. I've found it much more convenient to carry a camera.

Maybe John Wynne was in prison, or some type of institution, as such, he would still be alive but no longer head of the family.

He could have died outside the local area.  (It took me ages to find my GGrandfather, he was killed in an accident when he was 200 miles from home, the dead was registered in that area.)

I think you're going to have to buy the whole thing.  I've bought a few ( my husband keeps leaving them behind on his business trips) they cost about $15 here in the states.
