Antrim / Death/Burial Look up
« on: Wednesday 13 January 21 17:07 GMT (UK)  »
Hi I'm looking help for the death or burial of Francis (James) McCann my Great grandfather I have his birth and marriage and his children's births but cant find any death record.
Francis james McCann b. 25 Aug 1872 Belfast parents Patrick and Ellen (Harkin)

Married Mary Smyth at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Belfast, Antrim 07 Jan 1897

I guess he was buried in Milltown but without a year it's impossible to find. I think I checked in GRONI a few years ago and couldn't locate it then but I'm back on the trail again.
Thanks in advance and apologies if I've put this in the wrong place

Thanks Aghadowey, I agree it is a possibility, I take it that the work house  records are under the 100 year rule in PRONI? I will email PRONI anyway. Any ideas about John J McCann at Cyprus Street, mothers maiden name was Smyth, I can't find any birth records for him, i take it he was a month old when the census was taken
Thanks again

Can't find my grandfather on the 1911 census, even though the rest of the family are living at 18 Cyprus Street, Belfast.  He was William McCann born 1906 and i have his birth cert. None of the other William McCann's aged around 5 or 6 on the census match. Census states 6 children born 4 still alive, and there are 4 McCann children boarding at that address. Was William in the hospital or maybe workhouse? also can't find a birth cert for the John J McCann at that address
Thanks
